Dr Craig Prescott is a Lecturer in Law at Royal Holloway University of London. Until August 2020, he was the Director of the Centre for Parliament and Public Law at the University of Winchester. Previously he has taught at King’s College London, The University of Manchester and the China-EU School of Law at the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing.

Craig’s expertise is primarily in UK constitutional law, in particular Parliament, the monarchy and Brexit. He has written widely on these subjects. Currently, Craig is writing a book on the role of the monarchy today and in the future. Craig frequently contributes to the media, discussing the latest political and constitutional events and the monarchy. A selection of his recent appearances is available on the media page.

Craig is a member of the Study of Parliament Group, the Westminster Strategic Studies Group, Society of Legal Scholars and UK Constitutional Law Association.
